CONCEPT 1A: I’m interested in creating a back necklace built from the chemical compounds in certain drugs. One idea is to make huge dollar sign on the front (pushing the idea of bling) and having the chemical structure for Daraprim (see below) on the back to speak to the ridiculous cost of proprietary, non-generic drugs.

CONCEPT 1B: Building on Concept 1, I’m also interested in making a back and front necklace that shows the chemical compound differences between certain brand name and generic alternatives. So, the front would have the brand name and the back of the necklace hanging down would be generic alternatives.

CONCEPT 2: Wings that can be clipped onto shoes. I’m playing with the idea of the wings being made out of many little objects (like guns or words) and/or sprouting from an object. I like the idea of tying it somehow to Hermes and his winged shoes, potentially drawing inspiration from his role as a messenger to the Underworld or as a God of intellect and tricks.

CONCEPT 3: Making jewelry based on ink dropped into water over time. This one is interesting to me, but potentially would take a lot more testing as far as how to best capture all sides of the ink dropping over a couple of minutes.
