I first learned to find my ring size (5.5), which is 16 mm in diameter and add it as a place holder onto Rhino

2.) Then I created a circle and extruded the shape to create a ring. I used the “FilletEdge” command to create the soft curved edges for the ring.

3.) I downloaded a pre-existing head (low-poly model).

4.) Looked into the tutorial from Jaskirat (vimeo) to convert from mesh to surface.

5.) I pulled the raw low-poly head and created surfaces for half of the head.

6.) I selected the panels on half-headed model to make a helmet

7.) Then, created a geometry (the shape pattern for my helmet). A square was lofted with an octagon.

8.) Then I deleted the ears, nose, mouth, and eyes until, only the skull portion was left. (Resulting in a helmet form)

9.) The surfaces inside the helmet were extruded to provide a thicker layer.

10.) Finally, the helmet was mirror to create a full head and was stacked onto the ring.

Conclusion:

The most important takeaway was learning paneling of the octagon shapes into a desired pattern which, was then wrapped around the head.
