For this assignment, I focussed on creating complex, geometrical structures from simple shapes (boxes, cones etc.) using Rhino and Grasshopper. I created a tool in Grasshopper that let me subdivide a geometry in X and Y dimensions. It lets you\u00a0control the distance between the subdivisions as well as the thickness of it. It divides the layers in the two dimensions and make objects that can be easily laser-cutted. The pieces fit together like puzzle pieces.<\/p>\n

I followed\u00a0this\u00a0tutorial<\/a> to generate the tool.<\/p>\n

This tool enabled me to create geometrical and procedural architectural sculptures with simple shapes. I 3D printed one of those. I plan on generating a lot of these for using them as a virtual installation\/performance in Unity3D as architectural elements. These are some qualities\/aspects that are reflected in a lot of my work too: Geometric, Repetition, Procedural\u00a0and\u00a0Generative design.<\/p>\n
